Next Steps for the Jewish CO Project

Our first major event (a seminar on Jewish Conscientious Objection) went very well, so we are making plans for the next few months. Here is some information on our upcoming events and activities:

1. We will be hosting a training this fall for future Draft Counselors, aimed especially at Jewish professionals and peace activists.

2. We are hoping to work with Jewish Peace Fellowship on possibly creating an updated version of their book  Wrestling with your Conscience: A Guide for Jewish Draft Registrants and Conscientious Objectors.

3. We are planning to work with our friends at the Center on Conscience and War to help them update their page on Judaism and Conscientious Objection.

4. We also will be building capacity to be ready to provide low and no cost legal services to Jewish servicemembers who are wrestling with issues of conscience.

5. We are in the process of launching a podcast (details coming soon)!
